Today is a today for a winter mini storm again! Snow, slush, and wet wet weather. People like Nina Garcia falling in their heels, flats, or Uggly boots. :P Im still laughing about that, but whatever.
Time for the various fashions shows that went down yesterday for NYFW Day 5. Some shows that took place were: Zac Posen, Carolina Herrera, Carlos Miele, Jill Stuart, Tracy Reese, Donna Karan, Monique Lhuillier, Yeohlee, Tadashi Shoji, Ecco Domani, Perry Ellis, Marc Jacobs, Chris Benz, Carmen Marc Valvo, Halston, Rad Hourani, A Detacher,Devi Kroell, Joann Berman, Koi Suwannagate, Richard Chai Men, Thom Browne, and Zero + Maria Cornejo.
I just can not believe that fashion week with its beautiful charms, busy mantras, and ultra glam time for everyone to shine is coming to a close in 2 days. Well, lets all fight on through this busy time and memorable location has after this season...it is sayonara Bryant Park :(
The usual commentary On shows, here it is:
Zac Posen, Carolina Herrera, Carlos Miele, Tracy Reese, Monique Lhuillier, Chris Benz, Carmen Marc Valvo, Halston, Yeohlee, Jill Stuart, Rad Hourani, Tadashi Shoji, and Donna Karan.
Donna Karan Fall 2010 RTW = Femininity in blacks for the modern woman. With an encasing ruffling white low cut long sleeve blouse that was to die for. Some fur and gorgeous tailoring and cuts. A jewel toned purple outfit with purple coat. It was stunning. Loved the printed coats and swinging coats. Royal colors and metallics and stunning cocktail ankle length dresses. Wonderful and just architecturally cohesive.
Rad Hourani Fall 2010 RTW = All black and tough-chic. Leather pants galore on both men and women. Very Architectural with some asymmetrical jacket designs.
Jill Stuart Fall 2010 RTW = The usual hair blowing, edgy-chic girl with some blotches of red, mostly grays and blacks. Loved the satin-like pants. Lots of knee-highs and jewel tones with deep hues. The side sweeping cuts on the neck line on some pieces are just genius :D Lovely, I hope I can pre-order when the time comes around :D
Yeohlee Fall 2010 RTW = Sea of blacks, whites, and grays. Edgy and modern girl with style and sophistication. Ill will definitely order from this collection when available. The cuts of the pieces and tailoring is to die for. The leather dresses are wonderful as well. Good job as always Yeohlee.
Halston Fall 2010 RTW = Edgy and Artistic with flowing pieces. Loved the fabrics and various hues. Old world with new age influence. Just so gorgeous :D
Carmen Marc Valvo Fall 2010 RTW = Very hollywood old-style glam with red lips and lovely hair dos. Some blotches of color but mostly blacks. Lovely silhouettes. This dress and gown designer has once again shown his knowledge of women in dresses.
Chris Benz Fall 2010 RTW = For the young and hip girl! Plaids, plaids and more plaids in variety of colors! Feminine yet funky and cool. Some gray horizontal stripes, loved the edgy looks, the color scheme is just amazing, and the various cuts and tailoring of each look. Gorgeous! Gorgeous!
Monique Lhuillier Fall 2010 RTW = I loved the Asian modern edgy chic style. The up-do hair, the sea of reds, grays, and blacks. Form-fitting dresses, various prints and patterns, rich materials, some glam dress pieces, and at the ending some old hollywood glam dresses with a modern edgy flair! Loved this collection!!
Tracy Reese Fall 2010 RTW = Loved the 70-80s styled fluffy curled hair, the modern city girl look, feminine silhouettes, blacks and grays, various colors at some points like turquoise, some plaids and prints, and lovely scarves completing most of the otufits!
Carlos Miele Fall 2010 RTW = Lovely furs, swatches of colors on some looks, grays and blacks, royal blues, the risk-taking woman and yet edgy chic. Some pieces are more feminine than others which I loved. The collection show far as a lot of colors than some showing showing blacks. It showed so much variety for any woman at the same time. As soon I saw the Look 13, I was instantly in love with the cohesive collection.
Carolina Herrera Fall 2010 RTW = Now this collection was very European chic with the huge tilted hats, lovely furs around, the materials, the cuts, the usage of reds and grays, ultra feminine chic in this line, and ultra glam "red carpet" looks as well.
Zac Posen Fall 2010 RTW = This setting and the collection itself looked like a movie star walking off of her set of filming in style! With various fabrics, dreamy-silhouettes, lovely hues, furs, rich colors, some leather, femininity and the modern woman. Loved this collection :D
Tadashi Shoji Fall 2010 RTW = Laces, ruffles and just lovely femininity at its best. Elegant and classical. Loved the hues and neutral and beautiful colors used. Great Tailoring skills and just sophisticated. Love the collection!
I hope you enjoy these fashion reviews because as of next week or in a few days, I will put together some Fall influence fashions with all of the ideas from NYFW Fall 2010 collections from all designers and show you what tips and ideas could work for you.
Ciao and be Safe~
