After standing by his lady’s side at this year’s BET Honors, it seemed like Nick Cannon was not only back to good spirits but was feeling much better after suffering “mild kidney failure” last month. But looks can be deceiving. Canon announced that he is stepping down from his job as a New York City radio morning show host to put all his energies on getting better.
Cannon revealed that he was following doctors’ orders to break ties with some of his bi-coastal “professional commitments,” which included hosting “America’s Got Talent” in LA and the radio show in New York. “It was an absolute pleasure working with CBS Radio and the 92.3 NOW morning show team and I would like to thank them for their unwavering support,” Canon said in a statement on Friday.
But don’t worry, Cannon won’t go away completely. He also added that he’ll still be hosting the syndicated weekend show, “Cannon’s Countdown” — he’s still has to make a living, right?
